Have you ever had writer's block? That feeling where you really want to write, but when you look at the blank piece of paper, nothing comes out? You know what you really shouldn't do? The worst thing you can do is to think about it. The more you think about it, the more stressed you become, and the more writer's blocky you get.
I think the best cure is a good distraction. For me, reading books doesn't help, because it increases the need to write, while making me second guess my writing (thinking things as in "I don't want to write ___ because it is a lot like what I just read). I have found my cure though, something that is inspiring, while at the same time distracting, giving your brain the time to remove the giant block in your head.
This thing? It's called StumbleUpon. You can looked it up on Google. Basically, it's a search website, but it's slightly better. You tell it what you like, stuff like for me was reading, writing, genetics, video games, etc. And then you click on "stumble" and it brings you to a random site based on those interests. I have found so many good things, and I think I can physically feel the writer's block lifting. It's also just really cool, bringing you to sites that you might not have found otherwise.
