He was a pilot for a small research vessel, and was feeling sick with his life. His wife told him he should get a promotion, but he kept saying that he was just a pilot, he had no idea how to do it. She finally stood up, said her famous line and kissed him. She said simply “I know it is not logical, but I believe in you.” He stared into her large brown eyes and then kissed her forehead, nodding slowly. The next day, he went to Starfleet and said he wanted to be more then he was, and now he is on the track to being a captain of his own ship.
