Day 107 and I've got a wedding to go to!

Tomorrow, I will be getting up really early so that I can go to the airport. I will be flying to Minnesota. My Aunt is getting married, and I've been invited to go. It should be fun, and after the wedding I get to go to visit a different aunt and my cousins who I haven't seen in years. It will be a really exciting trip. I'm not sure if I will have internet or not though, so you know what that means! It means if I don't, I'll post one every day with my MIND POWERS!

Hey everyone, it's me again, technically posting on august 18. I'm actually posting on August 17th I swear.

Today, Tom and I have been dating for a whole year. It's amazing. I can't believe it's been a year, and at the same time, it seems that a year is way to short of time. I feel like I'm in love. Hehe, I know, I am. I had a great day. We went out and ran some chores, got Tom to transfer schools, paid something off, took the garbage down...wonderful. And then we went out to dinner and I fell in love all over again. To really celebrate though we went into the kitchen and made lava cakes...you know, those cakes that was baked on the outside, and all runny and unbaked on the inside? It was in celebration of the fact that the night he asked me out, we had made brownies...in a circular pan, hehe. I'm sorry, I'm getting all mushy and romantic on the blog, and that's not what this blog is for, hee.

Day 103 and wow

Hey everyone!

I just finished watching a really good series. If you haven't seen the Firefly series (with the movie Serenity after you watch it) then you must. It is a great story, a sci-fi-future-western and it is just fantastic. Sadly, it was only half a season, due to Fox, for numerous reasons. 1. They kept telling Joss Whedon that it wasn't "Actiony" enough 2. When they aired it, they aired it out of order 3. They didn't advertise it at all.

It is a really great series though, that will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between.

Day 102 and I have another neato program for you.

Hey guys. Have you ever noticed that your eyes get tired when you're on your computer. It's like you spend time in the morning and you're eyes are fine, but then later in the night it just gets harder and harder. Well, F.lux (http://www.stereopsis.com/flux/) has the answer.

Now, their slogan is a bit self-centered, I know that as well as the next person. Their program is really good though. Basically, what it does, is it keeps track of what time it and what time sunset is, then, it will adjust your screen accordingly. The thing is, during the day, our computer screens are set to look like the sun, making it easy to look at. After the sunsets though, and it's dark, our eyes aren't used to looking at things bright like the sun. It does change the colors a bit, but if you're doing color sensitive work, you can turn it off or put it to sleep for a while. It's a really cool program that I've only found one problem with. Sometimes, when you wake up your computer or turn it on, F.lux isn't sure what it should be in, and so it flickers a bit. It always finishes within a minute though, and it's a really cool program.

Day 100 and 101

Hey everyone.

Well, I wanted to have something really big for day 100 (and 101 for that matter)...but I'm afraid I don't. I have this story floating through my head, about treasure hunters, and planets far away. Or a story about Gods and Goddesses of another dimension. I seem to not be able to though. I open up the word document, or I look at the piece of paper, and nothing comes. Beginning lines float through my head, but they all seem stale or arrogant. I think over my ideas, and think about how it's been done a hundred times before. I can't seem to get the thoughts out of my head. I want to write. My fingers itch with the need to create and to start something that is good to work on, but I quite literally can't. I feel lucky that I can currently type this much for this post, but I guess that's the mysteries of life, huh? I can't seem to write a story, but when it comes to spewing my heart out publicly over the internet, I seem to do just fine. Heh, I can even do really random typos. I still can't spell publicly correctly without using spell check. That's really the great thing about spell check though, right? No one ever really needs to know how to spell. Heh. Anyway, I'm randomly. I'm hoping that I'll be able to write soon. Hopefully a game of Spore will get me more in the mood for a sci-fi.

Day 96 and I got to try something new today

I got to be a DM today! I've always wanted to try it, and I've been feeling more into DnD as of late, so Tom made up 4 characters, and I improved my way through a dungeon. It was a lot of fun. I got to play as all sorts of characters, from Beetles to Kobolds, Goblins to spear traps. I even got to do an avalanche! It was a heck of a thing.

Day 92 and Story Time!

Hey guys! I have a piece of writing for you, I hope you like it

It was a full year before Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry after the epic battle between the Order and the Deatheaters. Since then, the school was cleaned, and fixed. Teachers were either brought back, or hired, and students, new and old, were sent letters from Headmaster McGonagall, inviting them to come take classes at Hogwarts.
The Allgoods were shocked when they received the letter. They were more shocked about that then the owl which had delivered it. Patricia and Marcus Allgood knew of the battle at Hogwarts, they read it in The Daily Prophet, but they almost never expected it to open again after that. They looked at their daughter, Alexandra “Lexi” Allgood, who was lying on her stomach, reading a book. They explained to her what had happened at Hogwarts, and what she wanted to do. The eleven year old bit her lip, and then she made her choice.
That choice was the reason she was sitting on the Hogwarts Express, already dressed in her cloak and uniform. She wore a pair of black arm warmers on her arms, and a pair of glasses on her face. Through the glasses, a pair of brown eyes shone of excitement and an intense nervousness. She was worried as well, what if she didn’t fit in, what if nothing went right, what if she couldn’t find a magic she was good at. She tried to push those thoughts away though, and she decided to stand up and stretch. She was a bit short for eleven, and unless she got really lucky, it would probably be that way the rest of her life, but she didn’t mind all that much. She was alone in that particular carriage. There were so few students going to Hogwarts that year, that there were quite a few carriages that only had one or two students in them. She looked at the door, and she opened it. She couldn’t sit down and feel all worried about what would happen in the future, she had to take a walk. She took a deep breath, and left the secrecy of the carriage, and started walking the length of the train.

Day 91 and I have an idea...

I'm considering doing junk-jewelery. I have tons and tons of things that I collected, most of it pieces of trash that I just...I thought they were neat. I think I might finally be able to use it though. I think I'm going to make junk-jewelery. I think it's exciting, and I can combine it with my knitting hobby. Now, I just have to get motivated to do it. I feel pretty motivated, but I have to actually find a lot of my stuff, and some of the stuff is pretty hard to break down...but, I am convinced that I can do it. I'm currently working with some watches, but I'm having a bit of trouble with a few of the watches. They don't want to open. I might go to a jeweler or something and ask if they have any hints and tricks for me. I managed to open two of them though, and now I need to figure out what to do with them...I'll have pictures of it for you two tomorrow.
